We pledge to put people first and always to be honest, trustworthy and respectful in all of our interactions with customers, suppliers and with one another as a staff.

We value and believe in healthy and sustainably grown food, from right here in Ontario. By prioritizing and supporting local agriculture and products, we are helping to build strong communities that benefit us all.

We grow and make many of the foods we sell, so we know the good quality of our products. We also carefully source products that we know and trust.

Good Stewardship

The environment belongs to all of us and we want to be its good stewards. Part of good stewardship involves limiting the use of non-renewable resources in every aspect of our business. Here’s how we are doing our part:

  • We specialize in local food and that represents the ultimate in low food miles
  • We use only recyclable or re-useable shopping bags and offer customers a rebate for bringing their own bags.
  • The majority of Reesor’s packaging is re-useable, recyclable or compostable and we encourage our local suppliers to use the same. We’re working towards using a biodegradable film for packaging that needs it. Our goal is to use 100% recycled or compostable packaging.

We are always looking for new ideas and methods to lighten our carbon footprint – we’ve only got one planet to share.

Sharing Good Food

We love good food and we want to share it with others. We support both the Stouffville and North York Harvest Food Bank with food and cash donations from our farm, our store and from our customers. Reesor Farm regularly hosts the North York Harvest Food Bank to glean produce from our fields. We also contribute to Canadian Foodgrains Bank, an ecumenical organization that works to alleviate poverty around the world We also encourage and support local food production in our community. Join us and find out how you can share good food with families in need.
